The I Dreamed A Dream hitmaker shot to international stardom on Simon Cowell’s TV talent show Britain’s Got Talent last year, and after a whirlwind 12 months which has seen her top album charts all over the world, the 49 year old wants to lift the lid on her life. She has teamed up with publishers Transworld to detail her background, and plans to pay tribute to her late mother who she cared for until her death in 2007, at the age of 91. She says, “When I strutted on to the stage for that audition, I was a scared wee lassie, still grieving for my mother, not caring how I looked. I think I’ve grown up a lot in the last year, become more of a lady, and I’m not so frightened anymore.
“I’m writing this book to try to show that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover and I hope it will benefit other people. My story demonstrates that you shouldn’t just look at the label, you should look at the whole person, emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually.

Susan Boyle Enters the Record books!!!
Reuters – The upcoming debut album by British singing sensation Susan Boyle has become the largest global CD pre-order in the history of Amazon.com, the online retailer said on Thursday.
Boyle’s album “I Dreamed a Dream” will be released on November 24 by Sony Music Entertainment. It is the first album since the dowdy 48 year-old church volunteer from Scotland took the Internet by storm with her unlikely star turn on the TV show “Britain’s Got Talent” in April.
Amazon said that Boyle’s album was not only the top CD pre-order in the United States, but also the biggest around the world in the 14-year history of it’s web site.
Amazon declined to give their pre-order figures but said “I Dreamed a Dream” surpassed the 2008 record held by “Supermarket Fantasy” from Japanese rock band Mr. Children, 2007’s “Not Too Late” by U.S. singer Norah Jones, and British group Take That’s “Never Forget: The Ultimate Collection” in 2008.
Singing sensation Susan Boyle is headed to “Dancing with the Stars,” but she won’t have to bust any new moves because she’s only singing.
NY Daily News – “She’s excited and happy,” her brother, John Boyle, told People.com. “She loves America and loves the people.”
Boyle’s star turn on the show does have the potential for an awkward moment. One of the contestants is Kelly Osbourne, often cheered on in the audience by her mother, Sharon Osbourne, who recently savaged Boyle’s looks.
