Mirror -GMTV’s Kate Garraway has been given a dressing down by bosses after claiming Mariah Carey ‘acted like a diva’ by having a huge entourage when she appeared on the show.Kate upset the singer, who was promoting her new single in a pre-recorded chat with Lorraine Kelly, after writing in her New! column last week: ‘”I’ve heard a lot of rumours about her being a diva over the years and guess what? It’s all true!”While Mariah was very nice, the amount of people she had in her entourage was hilarious.”They outnumbered the entire GMTV crew!”Now Kate has been forced to issue a grovelling apology in this week’s column.She writes: ‘I am really sorry about the furore I caused last week after I wrote in this column about Mariah Carey’s appearance on GMTV.’Especially because I am told it has upset the star herself, which is the last thing I intended.’You will remember I said how nice Mariah was. Everyone at GMTV loved having her on and her performance, typically, blew us all away. -WENN-Jet-setting star MARIAH CAREY flew her personal vet from Los Angeles to New York to help her dog deliver puppies – but the singer missed the birth because she was in London.
The 40 year old jetted her own animal expert to the Big Apple earlier this month (Nov09) to help her beloved Jack Russell give birth, but the pooch waited until Carey was out of town before going into labour.
She was in London for a series of promotional events – and learned about the puppy delivery in between TV interviews.
She says, “My puppy just had a puppy. She’s the most adorable Jack Russell terrier. We were worried because she was little, so she had to have a C-section and I missed the whole thing!
“I flew this vet, a lovely lady, all the way from L.A. to N.Y. and back and forth and the dog didn’t have the puppies. I wanted to see the birth so, of course, when we got here (London) she had her babies.”

Popeater -During an appearance on ‘Larry King Live,’ Mariah Carey was asked by the 75-year-old talk show host about Rihanna, — whose ex-boyfriend Chris Brown pleaded guilty to attacking her — and King then pressed the singer if she had ever been abused.
“Abuse has several categories,” Carey answered King. Watch Her Response
You’ve been emotionally abused?” King questioned.
“Emotionally, mentally …” Mariah said.
“Why is it hard to get out of it?” King continued
“Well, it’s scary,” she said. “You know I just think you get into a situation and you feel locked in if your situation is similar to one of the situations that I’ve been in which I won’t harp on.”
“No you don’t have to, but it is hard to get out?” he asked again.
“For me, to really get out it was difficult because there was a connection that was not only a marriage but a business thing where the person was in control of my life,” Carey added.

NY Post – Mariah Carey and Rihanna refused to talk or be photographed together at a Halloween bash. The dueling divas worked hard to upstage each other at Carey’s party at M2 Ultralounge. A source said Rihanna, dressed as a tiger with a tail so long a security guard had to hold it up, partied with three female friends and rapper Ne-Yo in a booth and wouldn’t cross the dance floor to pay her respects. Meanwhile Carey, in a corset and giant angel wings, stayed with hubby Nick Cannon in her VIP area. A spy said, “It was Mariah’s party, but Rihanna didn’t want to be seen with her. And Mariah was not going over to greet Rihanna. Mariah needed six guards to clear a path to the bathroom so her wings wouldn’t be dislodged.” Carey’s rep said, “There were 1,000 people there and, of course, she needed security. She heard a rumor that Rihanna was there but she never saw her. She loves Rihanna and of course would have said hello.” Rihanna’s rep had no comment.

Mr. Mariah Carey celebrated his birthday this weekend at the Bellagio in Vegas, and his wife surprised him with this cake shaped like a turntable with this inscription “Happy Birthday DJ Sexy Fingers, Love M.C.C.” You can file that one under “DO NOT WANT.” Pretty much the last thing I’d care to think about is Nick Cannon’s “sexy fingers” and what he does to Mariah Carey with them. When he’s not using them to hold her purse or make her a sandwich, anyway. There’s just not enough Goo Gone in the world to ungunk that mental image residue from my brain. -Webster is My Bitch

Awwwwww… poor thing…Awwwwwwww……
She said she never wanted to become a celebrity and is only interested in making music, movies and living her life. Mariah said: “I went through a period of time when I was working my butt off, and that will get to you. Now I know how to say no to things. I didn’t know that before. Being in the limelight is not easy and being around a lot of people all the time is also difficult.”
Mariah Carey recently on vacation being toweled off by her servants….
“People who do what I do will know what I mean. When you’re in front of the camera, people are going to make their own opinions up about you and can say what they want to say about you. All I want to do is make music, make movies, live my life and enjoy things.”

Advertising has now crept into a new aspect of music: the liner notes of CDs. Brandweek reports Mariah Carey’s album “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” will be the first CD to have ads in the CD booklet. It’s designed by Elle magazine and it’s laid out like a mini-magazine all about Carey. It will still have lyrics, but it will also have columns about Carey and ads for Elizabeth Arden, Angel Champaign and the Bahamas Board of Tourism, among others. “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” comes out September 15.
