Kirsten Dunst

5th Annual HollyShorts 2009 Opening Night Celebration
In the December issue of Allure, Kirsten Dunst admits that she and ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal don’t exactly keep in touch.

“It would be nice to see him,” she says. “But we’re not good friends.”

The couple — who had shared an L.A. home and a dog named Atticus — split in 2004 after about two years together.

Now 28, Gyllenhaal has been in a relationship with Reese Witherspoon since early 2007.

The 27 year-old Dunst tells Allure that she’s single and living in New York City. Any notable guests at her apartment? “My girlfriends will sleep in bed with me, but no guests, not long-term, anyway.”

The actress, who describes her life as “totally regular,” recently took an eye-opening cross-country road trip with a pal, visiting Graceland, New Orleans and the Grand Canyon.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes celebrate their third wedding anniversary: recap their years together so far

“After we were done, I was like, ‘Wow, America is so poor,’” she tells the magazine. “Just the towns you come across — all that’s there are restaurants and gas stations. There are beautiful stretches of pasture, but for the most part, people live simply. The East and West Coast are so different from the rest of America.”

Kirsten Dunst has won a court’s protection from a man who she says has recently trespassed at her home.  Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Richard E. Rico granted Dunst’s request to order 25-year-old Christopher R. Smith to stay away from the actress, her personal assistant and any place they work.  Dunst did not appear during Monday’s court hearing. The request was granted without her attorney or witnesses having to make arguments. Smith did not attend the hearing and never responded to a temporary restraining order Dunst received in November.  Dunst, who has appeared in three “Spider-Man” films, wrote last month that she was “quite frightened” of Smith. He was arrested by Dunst’s assistant last month after trespassing at her house. – AP

With only two weeks left before Election Day, even celebs are ramping up their last-minute campaigns to get fans to the polls on Nov. 4. In the latest example of a famous face pushing for votes, Kirsten Dunst stars in a quick spot on MySpace, with her face blurred out and voice lowered for “anonymity,”urging viewers to log on to WhyTuesday.org to find their local polling place. “What matters is that you vote on Tuesday, November 4th,” she says, without endorsing a candidate, adding that America ranks towards the bottom in voter turnout.

“Come on, let’s bring it on and do this,” Kirsten urges towards the end of the 40-second spot, just before her face is briefly unobscured.

And we’re back on track… after two days of disappearing..!

PEOPLE – For former child star Kirsten Dunst, life hasn’t always been easy – but rehab has helped. “Everybody in life goes through obstacles in different times of their life, and this year was my difficult time,” Dunst told reporters at the How to Lose Friends and Alienate People press day in New York about her stint in rehab earlier this year. “It’s part of life and it’s just called growing up.”

Dunst, 26, checked into Utah’s Cirque Lodge Treatment Center last February for depression and said she has gained perspective. “What I have learned is if you make it out of this business and realize the whole bigger picture of it all, you are in a good spot,” says Dunst. “It’s just seeing what is important and the bigger things in life.” Keeping a balance between her private life and living in front of the cameras is something that the Spider-Man star strives for. “It’s not healthy to live that kind of life,” she says. “I don’t live in the spotlight and I don’t live my life in front of the paparazzi. I live very comfortably and quietly as possible.” Who does Dunst look up to as a role model of healthy Hollywood living?  “There are plenty of people who have made it. I think Natalie Portman is quite smart and has made the transition.”

Speaking of mental health, congratulations to the Congress for passing the mental health coverage boost as part of the 700 billion dollar economicy recovery plan. Let’s hope our economy gets better from here…

In other news, I’m really annoyed because I went to fill up my gas tank (its only full service gas in NJ, self service is against the law), and the gas station attendee took my gas cap or forgot to put it back on or whatever. Where in the world do you find gas caps?

The Actress tells Harper’s Bazaar: “When you spend your entire life as a child actress, being told where to go and where to stand, you’re performing constantly for people,” she says. “It definitely breeds the kind of person who’s dependent on other people’s approval.

And she probably grew being “Kirsten Dunst” that girl in the movies and not a human being, I would presume. Those insecurities probably drove her to different private matters and she just needed help at the time, and needed to get away. That would be a logicall guess for me.

Daily News – Now it’s Justin Long’s turn on the Kirsten Dunst train. The “Mac guy” was snogging Dunst, who’s been with Jake Gyllenhaal, Josh Hartnett, Andy Samberg and Orlando Bloom, in L.A. at Sunset Junction. The duo “were making out hard-core while waiting in line for margaritas,” says our spy. “They were holding hands and were all over each other.” We give it two weeks before they’re over each other, period.

She’s out of rehab and already making movies again!
After checking into Cirque Lodge in Utah for “depression,” Kirsten Dunst is now nearly finished
shooting her latest film entitled All Good Things. Co-starring Oscar-nominee slash heartthrob Ryan Gosling (and from the director of Capturing the Friedmans), the story centers on a missing-persons case in greedy 1980’s New York.
Can’t wait to see this! Looks like Dunst is going back to serious projects post-Spider-Man, and we’re more than happy about it!
