Jon, it looks like you’re going to have to kiss those Superbowl Ad offers goodbye for now.
A Montgomery County judge ruled Thursday that controversial former reality show star Jon Gosselin — he of “Jon & Kate Plus Eight” and Las Vegas pool party fame — must cease making media appearances that TLC network views as a violation of his production contract. The opinion was a victory for Silver Spring-based Discovery Communications, which owns TLC.

Digital Spy – Jon Gosselin was asked to star in Super Bowl commercials by two different companies, according to his lawyer.
Speaking to E! Online, attorney Mark Heller alleged that the Jon & Kate Plus 8 star was approached by the unknown brands to front their adverts, but the collaboration never happened.
“Two different entities sought to solicit his services [for Super Bowl ad spots], but in my view, they were scared of TLC,” he is quoted as saying.
Heller reportedly refused to elaborate on his statement, while a representative for TLC declined to comment on the allegations.
The network recently accused Gosselin, 32, of violating his contract with TLC by undertaking a number of paid and unpaid television appearances without prior permission.

ET – Is Jon and Kate Gosselin’s “War of the Roses” over? Only ET interviewed both sides after they met face to face in Pennsylvania on Saturday — and apparently reached an agreement, in principal, on the terms of their divorce arbitration. Plus, we break news about Jon’s love pledge to Kate!
ET special correspondent Diane Dimond reports that after the feuding ex-couple met with an arbitrator for about five hours, both sides emerged to say they’d reached an agreement.
Dimond says the arbitrator will commit Jon and Kate’s agreement points, along with his own recommendations, to a document. Lawyers expect to receive the document in approximately 30 days, and both sides have agreed to abide by whatever the arbitrator rules.
Dimond says that after the meeting ended, Kate declined to comment, but Jon said he’d written his estranged wife a note indicating that he loves their children, that a part of him will always love her, and he will never let any harm come to her.
Earlier, Jon arrived to the meeting with an apparent peace offering for Kate: a bouquet of roses. However, Dimond says that Kate left the meeting without the flowers.
A source called the roses another Jon Gosselin publicity stunt.

From Jezebel – Last night, famous single dads Jon Gosselin and Levi Johnston appeared on The Insider together, where they actually were asked to debate over which guy has the worse reputation. (Jon whined that he did.)

UsMag – Some have called Jon Gosselin and his estranged wife Kate bad parents. Now Jon Gosselin is calling TLC a very, very bad network. In court papers unearthed by Radaronline, Gosselin lays out startling accusations against the cable channel, and reveals that he and Kate made just $2000 per episode back when their show began.
For starters, his lawyers argue that TLC violated Pennsylvania child labor laws by failing to obtain proper permits allowing their eight children to be filmed for Jon and Kate Plus Eight. And while the TV parents were obligated by contract to obtain those permits themselves (versus the network), his attorneys contend that this was TLC’s attempt to “circumvent the laws.”

Gosselin’s team also argues that the restrictions of TLC’s contract prevent him from earning money — via appearances, endorsements and the like — as a celebrity. “Mr. Gosselin will be unable to earn a living as a television personality, and therefore be precluded from supporting his eight children,” the papers state.
The documents also claim that the Gosselins negotiated their first TV contract in 2005 without the presence of a lawyer or manager, and that TLC took “advantage of Mr. Gosselin’s inexperience and lack of sophistication.”
Another shock, according to the papers: back in 2005, the family made a mere $2000 per episode — versus the reported $75,000 per-episode rate in 2009.
And the network’s restrictions on the family’s life was just plain cruel, his lawyers argue: the reality dad wasn’t allowed to take photographs at home, preventing him from recording “his own family moments and hallmark events in his family’s life.”

UsMag – Jon Gosselin says he and estranged wife Kate will spend Christmas together with their eight kids.
“Christmas Eve and Christmas day are joint-shared custody days, which means we’re both in the house,” he tells AOL’s PopEater.com. “So we’ll be there.”

Jon, 32, says he doesn’t expect any showdowns, adding that he and Kate, 34, plan to stick to tradition.
The kids “do the stockings early Christmas morning,” he says. “Kate makes sticky buns. We keep it all the same. Nothing has changed. That way they have the sense of security with everything that’s going on.”
He adds, “This year, there’s a lot of paparazzi, so who knows? Every year it’s different.”
With his hectic schedule, the reality star says hasn’t started buying presents yet.
“It will probably be all Internet-based this year, pre-wrapped,” he adds. “You know, I’m a guy, when there’s free gift wrap, I’m like, ‘Yeah, yes please.’”
