A Los Angeles court commissioner officially approved supermodel Heidi Klum’s request to adopt husband Seal’s last name Friday.
There is no word yet on if she will adopt the surname professionally.
The Project Runway hostess, 36, filed paperwork early last month in court to legally change her name, citing ‘marriage’ as the reason for the change.
Her decision to take Seal’s last name (his full name is Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel) comes four years after they wed.
Klum gave birth to the couple’s third child together, daughter Lou, five weeks ago. She and Seal have two sons, Henry, 3, and Johan, 2, and Seal, 46, is the adoptive father of Klum’s daughter Leni, 5.

On Wednesday, she revealed her post-baby body as she joined Victoria’s Secret supermodels Wednesday as they promoted the upcoming Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in NYC.
Klum, 36, welcomed daughter Lou Oct. 9.
She made her first post-baby appearance Oct. 31 at her annual Halloween bash in L.A., but kept her body covered up in a crow costume.
“I wouldn’t say I’m back in the shape yet,” Klum told Usmagazine.com at bash. “But I don’t know. Everything changes when you get older. It was different when I was 31 with the first one. Now, being 36 with the fourth one, it’s different.”
“I don’t exercise too much — I walk,” she added. “I walk on the treadmill a little bit. I walk on the driveway. I’m very active with the children. When you have three children and two boys, they’re very active. They want to do a lot of things. But you know when you breastfeed, when you eat right, you move around a little bit, that usually does the job.”
Klum – who said she is hosting the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show but not walking in it – added that she’ll gradually increase her workouts.
“For me, it always works to get back into it immediately,” she told Us. “I think that if you wait too long, it kind of sticks on and it stays there forever. I have to be motivated.”
“She just has a knack for all of these things,” he said. “She’s just one of those people – I say one of those people – and there isn’t actually anyone like her. But she just has a knack for it. She’s a person who can do pretty much anything. And I got used to that within a few months of knowing her. She’s the ‘it’ woman. She can do anything.”
Heidi Klum hasn’t quite reclaimed her pre-baby body yet, but that’s not stopping the supermodel from donning a sexy outfit when she hosts the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Nov. 19, which airs Dec. 1 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
“I have some great one-of-a-kind latex pieces that were made for me. I figure why not? I embrace that I have more curves right now,” Klum, 36, told PEOPLE at the Victoria’s Secret Supermodels Take Over Times Square event on Wednesday.
“I’m definitely one of the heaviest of the bunch of the 30 girls in the show. And I still have 20 lbs. to go,” she admits. “But why not? I like my outfit. I like the way it looks on me.”

Though she’ll be flaunting her curves, the mom of four kids (Leni, with ex Flavio Briatore, and Henry, Johan, and Lou, with husband Seal) says she’s happy that the pressure to really bare her body is off.
“You definitely have less pressure hosting, when you don’t shake your booty in front of millions of people around the world,” she said laughing.

Then you can paint cat patterns right onto the leotard to make it more interesting. Buy a dog collar with a tag and put a fun message on it. For example, when I was a cat in 2007, I put “If lost, please return to Seal.” You can also buy cat ears and a fake tail that can be attached with a few stitches or a safety pin. Add in some sexy high heels or boots. Really go for it and paint your face like a sexy city cat. Don’t forget the whiskers!

British singer Seal wore an American flag shirt and quiff wig for the service, which was watched by around 100 equally outlandishly dressed guests.
They listened to rock and roll and danced at the waterfront house, which belongs to a friend of the couple.
Earlier in the day Seal and Heidi posed for a photoshoot on the balcony of the house in Malibu, California.

The swine flu epidemic has put a serious damper on Heidi Klum and Seal’s Mexican wedding vow renewal planned for May 10.
Life & Style reports that the expecting couple have canceled their annual plans to renew their wedding vows in Costa Careyes, Mexico, this year due to the threat of swine flu.
This is a regular event for the hot couple. They have renewed their vows at the same location, on the same day since their 2005 wedding, a move clearly designed to help them remember what they promised each other the year before.
Heidi was reportedly worried about border closings and their three small children, not to mention their unborn child.
Heidi’s rep confirms the news to Life & Style: saying “Heidi and Seal have decided to renew their vows at home in L.A. this year.”
