The whole Charlie Sheen mess seems to be a perfect example of how bad press cannot affect a career – in the slightest bit. Even though he’s accused of threatening his wife, his show is still funny, and the ratings show that they don’t seem to care. It’s been in the top ten the past couple of weeks – still.
Charlie Sheen is getting back to work on the set of his CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men, after a sting in rehab. According to TMZ, he’ll be splitting his time between filming the show and doing rehab. There are four episodes left in the season. He’ll stay in rehan until early Monday then fly to Aspen for his arraignement. He’s facing charges for allegedly threatening his wife Brooke Mueller. His decision to check himself into rehab was a preventative measure. He’ll be alternating between filming Two and a Half Men and spending time in rehab.
Charlie Sheen’s wife Brooke Mueller is going to rehab. According to TMZ she checked into The Canyon Rehab Facility in Malibu for substance abuse.
Her stay comes one day after Charlie’s arraignment for felony and misdemeanor charges for allegedly putting a knife to her throat and threatening her life on Christmas Day (which Charlie denies).
Her issues with substance abuse could seriously damage her credibility.
Charlie Sheen faces up to thee years in prison for domestic violence charges.
But his wife, Brooke Mueller wants the charges thrown out.
According to the AP, Sheen’s lawyer, said “I can tell you, Brooke very badly wanted to have contact with Charlie. There are many children’s issues that she wanted to communicate with him about… They have two gorgeous beautiful babies together…Brooke would like this case to be over and charges dismissed so they can get on with their lives.”
Sheen told The Insider he realizes there is a media storm surrounding the situation but has kept a level head. And despite the recent allegations of domestic abuse, his CBS sitcom Two and Half Men has remained unaffected, ratings-wise. The show has finished in the top 10 every single week since the accident happened.

The actor was charged with second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief. He was released from jail on Christmas night.

The fallout from an alleged domestic dispute between actor Charlie Sheen and his wife, Brooke Mueller, continues. According to TMZ.com, the Pitkin County Department of Social Services in Colorado says it’s, quote, “aware” of the alleged incident between Sheen and Mueller and will consider pursuing an investigation. The couple has two infant sons — Max and Bob. The twins were born in March 2009. The PCDSS said that whenever there is a dispute with children present in the home, the agency is notified.

On Monday Night, Led by “Two and a Half Men,” CBS drew 8.6 million viewers and a 5.4 rating/9 share in households for the evening. ABC (6.25 million, 3.6/6) came in second, while FOX (4.7 million, 3.0/5) took third. NBC finished fourth with just 2.7 million viewers and a 1.7/3, but that was still a good ways ahead of The CW (916,000, 0.6/1).
