LeAnn Rimes announces her divorce on her Web site

LeAnn Rimes has announced that she and her husband of seven years, Dean Sheremet, are divorcing.”After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Deane [her husband's given name] and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage,” she says on her website.”This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another,” she continues. “Thank you so much for all of your continued love and support – it is deeply appreciated.”

Rimes, 27, wed Sheremet, 28, in 2002 when she was 19 and he was 21.Usmagazine.com confirmed in late July that the two had separated following Us Weekly’s exclusive report that she had an affair with actor Eddie Cibrian while shooting the Lifetime movie Northern Lights last fall. After filing for divorce from his wife, actor Eddie Cibrian – who is now romancing country star LeAnn Rimes – is asking for privacy and
saying he remains committed to his young sons.  “From the outset I have made a conscious decision to try and keep this matter private and
not discuss it in the press. While my wife and I are dissolving our marriage, we will work together to parent our two children,” he says
of sons Mason, 6, and Jake, 2. “I love my boys very much. I want only the best for them and am committed to being a devoted father.”  The
CSI: Miami actor’s statement, issued yesterday, comes after Rimes and Cibrian went public with recent dates, including a game of golf and a
Kings of Leon concert. Earlier this week Cibrian filed for divorce from former model Brandi Glanville, citing irreconcilable differences.

UsMag – Eddie Cibrian has filed for divorce from his wife of eight years, Brandi Glanville, she tells Usmagazine.com. “I asked Eddie to file for divorce on Monday and he did so,” she tells Us.She also told E! News Tuesday: “He filed yesterday and I accepted it. We’re getting a divorce. We talked to each other yesterday.”

AP – Grammy-winning country music star LeAnn Rimes was involved in a traffic collision in West Los Angeles, authorities said Friday. No injuries were reported. The 26-year-old singer was questioned by officers as part of an investigation into the Thursday evening incident, police Officer Norma Eisenman said. No one was injured and Rimes was not arrested, she said. No further details were provided. The investigation was continuing. Susan Novak, a spokeswoman for Rimes, said a police report had been filed and she was confident Rimes will be cleared. Rimes, a Mississippi native, snagged two Grammy trophies in 1996.

LeAnn Rimes Broke Us Apart

UsMag – Eddie Cibrian’s wife Brandi Glanville has left him, she confirms exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly (on newsstands Wednesday). “Eddie and I have decided to take some time apart,” says Glanville, 36, mother of Mason, 6, and Jake, 2. “I want to do what is best for our children. Eddie and LeAnn [Rimes] deserve each other.”

According to Us Weekly, the final straw came after Cibrian, 36, and Rimes, 26, were caught again together in the early afternoon of July 17 — four months after Usmagazine.com broke the news of their affair — outside the Malibu home of Jeff Berger, a longtime friend of the singer and her husband, Dean Sheremet. (News of Cibrian having another affair — with 24-year-old model Scheana Marie Jancan — also broke earlier this same month.)

Sources tell Us that Rimes’ pal Berger has been facilitating similar meetings at his home for about a month and that Rimes and Cibrian also made use of a rental house on L.A.’s west side. (Berger denies he has been enabling an affair. Another source insists Cibrian and Rimes “hung out a bit, but that was it.”)
