Jason Priestley is returning to the infamous 90210 zip code.
The actor has agreed to do an episode of the CW’s new 90210 later this season, according to sources on set, reports EW. But Priestley will remain behind the camera, directing. As for whether Priestley will direct his old on-screen sister, Sachs said, “I think it would be a kick for Jason to work with any of his (former 90210 costars.) But we don’t know whether that will happen yet.”

The Boston Globe called it “pretty bad,” while Variety slammed it as “a pallid copy of the original fish out of water story only with shinier cars, fancier clothes and Botox aplenty.” It’s “a perfectly competent and reasonably seamless revival that understands what made the original tick,” wrote a Newsday critic.
But remember, shows take time to get better… I can’t wait to see the second episode.
Starpules – Actress Jennie Garth won’t be letting her young children watch her new Beverly Hills, 90210 spin-off – because the new show is far racier than the original. When Garth first played rich kid Kelly Taylor on 90210, the show was family viewing, but she fears the new-look series is far too raunchy for pre-teens. She says, “My kids are by no means ready to watch this 90210.” And co-star Lori Loughlin admits she’s often left red faced by her racy scenes with onscreen husband Rob Estes. She explains, “I blush all day long.”
Meanwhile, Estes adds, “(We’re not) a mom and dad who are home eating bon bons. It’s a couple who’s &**$*-ING We’ll clear the kitchen so fast (to have sex), you don’t know what to do with yourself.”

But before you read this – we all know what Tori Spelling has been up to. She’s always featured in Us, People, Star etc. Does ANYONE know why out of all the cast members of 90210, the celebrity weeklies CHOSE to continue covering TORI SPELLING after 90210? She is a staple of the celebrity weeklies, and I have no idea why. I like her. But…Why her…The only explanation I can thnk of is that she is Aaron Spelling son and maybe more media savvy and good at staying in the public eye. But this has always puzzled me.
WHERE ARE THEY NOW:
1. LUKE PERRY (DYLAN McKAY) Perry has done considerable voice-over work for various animated series, often playing himself. He played himself (and Krusty the Clown’s half brother) in an episode of The Simpsons (1993). He also voiced himself in an episode of Johnny Bravo, giving Johnny dating advice after Johnny saved him from a stampede of fan girls. Perry voiced himself once again in an episode of Family Guy, where he was labelled as gay by Peter and sues the family. He has also guest-starred sitcoms Spin City (1997) and Will and Grace (2005). Perry was reunited with former 90210 co-star Jennie Garth when he guest starred in What I Like About You.
2. JENNIE GARTH (KELLY TAYLOR) Garth starred in the sitcom What I Like About You as Amanda Bynes’ sister Valerie Tyler. She starred on the show for all four seasons. Garth also appeared on Dancing with the Stars, coming in fourth.
Other original stars, including Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth, will both be reprising their roles for the new-look show.

TV chiefs are desperately trying to keep the plot of the new BEVERLY HILLS, 90210 spin-off show under wraps. Bosses at the CW Television Network have refused to release any footage of the new programme ahead of its debut on 2 September (08). And critics have been banned from reviewing the show, with no advance screenings planned before it airs on TV. A statement from CW reads, “The CW and our studio partner CBS Paramount Network Television have made the strategic marketing decision not to screen ‘90210’ for any media in advance of its premiere. “We’re not hiding anything… simply keeping a lid on 90210 until 9.02, riding the curiosity and anticipation into premiere night, and letting all our constituents see it at the same time.” The series has been hit by controversy in recent weeks with Tori Spelling quitting the project in an alleged row over her salary.

From NY Daily News – The most delish “90210″ gossip yet. Dean McDermott is allegedly mad at Tori Spelling for ditching the show, because he wanted a part. This seems ungenerous, seeing as Tori has already given Dean a recurring role … on the reality show of her life.
An ingenious In Touch spread reveals how much each of the stars of “The Hills” makes per episode. Brody (r.) gets $10K, Audrina gets $35K, Heidi and Spencer get $65K each, and Lauren gets $75K — because her contract states no one can make more than she does. And no one can get dumped more.
JENNIE GARTH is “disappointed” her former BEVERLY HILLS, 90210 co-star TORI SPELLING won’t be a part of the TV show’s remake, and she’s upset by reports a salary feud was to blame for her pal’s decision to quit. I don’t know what really happened because I haven’t talked to her. I would like to talk to her. I’ll try to butt my head in whenever I can and tell people what I think about it.

We got word that TORISPELLING refuses to rule out a reunion with her former BEVERLY HILLS, 90210 castmates in a revamp of the hit show, despite walking out on the project over a reported salary dispute.
Spelling refuses to talk about the salary reports, but insists she may still appear on the new series. She says, “I was supposed to be in the pilot and then I had (daughter) Stella when they went back into production, so it didn’t work out, but I’m hoping (to return) later in the season.”

Finally, it looks like The Hills is officially getting a spinoff.
The new show is about another group of privileged girls who live in the nation’s capital. According to the New York Post, the show is set to star city socialites Krista Johnson, Katherine Kennedy, and Sophie Pyle. Johnson tells the newspaper, “It’s going to be about our real lives. It’s going to be in the same vein as MTV’s The Hills, but ours is going to be more realistic.”

As for the current stars of The Hills gossip, LC is giving up her Hollywood home because she has become too famous for her neighbours. The reality TV star-turned-style icon has told those complaining about the news trucks, paparazzi and noise on her street she’s moving out. She says, “We’re going to have to move after we’re done filming (The Hills news season).” Conrad accepts it’s time to move on – because her friends are getting abused in the street by buses of tourists.

Apparently Tori was offered between $10 and $20 grand per episode, while Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth will be raking in between $35 and $50,000.
