Shia LaBeouf’s childhood deserves an NC-17 rating.
In a candid new interview, the star of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen — who severely injured his hand last summer in an early morning car crash — talks about his, um, revealing upbringing, including how his hippie mother would often walk around their home naked — even when he had friends over to play. Shia LaBeouf is in talks to take over Charlie Sheen’s role as a desperate young stockbroker in the forthcoming sequel to 1987 film Wall Street.

LaBeouf is negotiating with bosses at 20th Century Fox to join Michael Douglas, who’s been recast by director Oliver Stone for Wall Street 2, a follow-up to the Oscar-winning drama, reports Variety. Sheen starred as Bud Fox in the original, about a young broker struggling to get to the top while surrounded by greed and corruption.
The original film’s stars received mixed reviews. Douglas won an Oscar for Best Actor for his role as ruthless Wall Street player Gordon Gekko while Daryl Hannah’s performance earned her a Razzie Award for Worst Supporting Actress.

Dexterity-challenged Shia LaBeouf ended 2008 on the lousiest note possible—by having to jump start his car’s battery. LaBeouf, 22, parked his fire-engine red classic auto outside a Hollywood studio while he took a meeting on Tuesday. The actor later stepped back outside only to discover that his ride was out of juice. The departing year proved to be a trying one for the Eagle Eye heartthrob. Shia was involved in a dangerous vehicular accident in July, after which he initially faced DUI charges. [Wait!Theres Tons More…]

Backseat Cuddler – Shia LaBeouf is seriously clumsy, or just unlucky.  TMZ reports that he was injured by a prop while filming Transformers 2. The website reports that Shia “got a cut below his eyebrow that required stitches.” He got his stitches and went right back to work.  Let it never be said that he’s a slacker, although he’s probably starting to look like a walking crash test dummy.  Although I guess that’s the risk you run being an action hero.

Try not to hurt yourself anymore, Shia!

Shia LaBeouf Celebrates not Being Charged with Drunk Driving

by admin September 27, 2008 Shia LaBeouf

Shia LaBeouf is celebrating after learning he won’t be charged with drunk driving following a July car accident in Hollywood that left him with a shattered hand.

Authorities arriving at the scene suspected the Transformers star had been drinking, but the Los Angeles District Attorney has declared there isn’t enough evidence to bring a case against the actor.

LaBeouf, who was arrested before undergoing hand surgery after the collision, has already avoided blame in the near-fatal accident – 21-year-old Simon Herbert was cited for running a red light and causing the crash last month.

LaBeouf’s Transformers director Michael Bay has never doubted his young star’s sobriety on the night of the crash.

At the time of the accident, Bay said, “He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before… That’s (DUI rumor) gonna go away.

Another Shia Lebeouf Story….

by admin September 27, 2008 Shia LaBeouf

During an early August visit to Los Angeles, a bunch of film journos accepted an invitation to preview the first third of “Eagle Eye,” the latest showcase featuring Steven Spielberg wunderkind Shia LeBeouf.

Now, even if some of us don’t understand the young actor’s appeal to the rest of the world, the thriller from director D.J. Caruso (”Disturbia”) looked legit, starting with some tense moments in a war room and shifting quickly to several relentless and separate cell-phone intrusions into the lives of seemingly shiftless young Jerry Shaw (LeBeouf) and adorable single mom Rachel Holloman (Michelle Monaghan).

I, for one, couldn’t wait to watch the rest, even trying to guess how Joan Allen, whose voice I was convinced made all those threatening and demanding directives to the two young adults in peril, figured into the nonstop action that was sure to come.

Well, as I found out in a Tuesday night screening, I was wrong – on all counts. Not only is the great Ms. Allen missing from the entire mix, but the early promise of that first 35 or so minutes quickly dissolved into techno/sci-fi absurdity and, at best, a tenuous political statement. (Actually, it’s a bit reminiscent of the much more solid “War Games.”)

Filmmakers obviously came up with a great premise they couldn’t cash in on, despite solid work from the always likable Monaghan; Billy Bob Thornton, as an FBI agent; and Rosario Dawson, as some sort of Air Force expert/operative.

LeBeouf actually has a dual role since much of the nonsensical resolution involves the death of Shaw’s twin brother. By the way, we figured that out in the first half-hour. See the rest it at your own risk.

Shia LaBeouf Says Car Crash “Eye Opening, Terrifying”

by admin September 17, 2008 Shia LaBeouf

Shia LaBeouf is speaking out about his July car crash, which he calls “eye opening and terrifying.

“The car hit me at 70 mph,” the 22-year-old told Entertainment Tonight over the weekend while promoting his new flick, Eagle Eye.

“It was one of the biggest things that’s happened to me, for sure, in my life,” he added. “I’m grateful to be here.”

LaBeouf was partying at West Hollywood’s Troubadour Club before the July 27 crash that flipped his truck. After the accident, he was booked on suspicion of DUI (police later said the other driver was at fault for running a red light).

LaBeouf underwent extensive hand surgery to repair two of his fingers, which were “pretty mashed,” in the accident, Transformers director Michael Bay later said. (His injury has been written into the movie’s sequel.)

He recently told Access Hollyood he will have more surgery “to be back to 100 percent.”

He said he was thankful his accident injured only his hand.

Said LaBeouf, “It could have been something else.”
