Starpulse – Madonna’s publicist has shot down reports the pop superstar is planning an extensive cosmetic overhaul this summer, insisting there is “no plastic surgery on her calendar.”The Material Girl turns 52 in August, and is rumored to be preparing herself to go under the surgeon’s knife in a bid to look younger.British tabloid reports suggest the singer has booked herself in for an eye lift, lip and cheek fillers, breast implants and Botox. But according to Madonna’s spokesperson, the only thing the star will be scrutinizing over the summer is her upcoming movie about the abdication of British monarch Edward VIII.The rep tells GossipCop.com, “Madonna is directing a movie all summer.(There’s) no plastic surgery on her calendar. (It’s) all fiction.”
VAN SANT: Yes. I’m at my house in L.A., just reading the paper.
MADONNA: Are you living in L.A. now?
VAN SANT: I still live in Portland [Oregon], but I have a place in L.A., and I’m starting to work on this film down here.
MADONNA: You’re always working on a film.
VAN SANT: Usually.
MADONNA: But that’s what you do.
VAN SANT: It’s my habit. [laughs] I heard you’re going to Africa.
MADONNA: Yeah. I go to Malawi twice a year. It’s where two of my children were adopted from, and I have a lot of projects there that I go and check up on and children who I look after. It’s sort of a commitment that I’ve made to this country and the hundreds of thousands of children there who have been orphaned by AIDS. I made a documentary about it [I Am Because We Are, 2008], and it’s just become part of my life. I’m going to meet with Jeffrey Sachs [the economist]. I’m sure you’ve heard of him. He’s starting a global education initiative, and I’m going to be his Girl Friday, so to speak. We’re going to hold a press conference to talk about the school for girls that I’m building in Malawi. It’s kind of our way of making sure that every kid has a chance to have an education-more specifically girls, but boys as well. Girls, though, in a lot of developing countries don’t have the opportunity to go to school, nor are they encouraged to go to school, so what we’re doing is the beginning of a dream. “Glee’s” Sue Sylvester is giving a Madonna a run for her money. At the end of Tuesday night’s mid-season return of the hit Fox musical comedy, fans were treated to a glimpse of the “Glee” character’s take on Madonna’s 1990 dance video classic “Vogue.” The send-up featured actress Jane Lynch, as “Glee’s” no-nonsense cheer coach Sue Sylvester, recreating Madonna’s poses and dance moves from the original “Vogue” video.
The clip served as a tease for next week’s episode of “Glee” which will feature the songs of Madonna. Songs and clips from “Glee” are available for download on iTunes. Last year the “Glee” cast had 25 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the most since The Beatles’ 31 in 1964.
Popeater – It seems as if everyone on the planet is planning on tuning in to watch ‘Glee’ — everyone, that is, except Madonna, whose songs will be featured on the show next week.
“Madonna doesn’t have a TV and has no idea what ‘Glee’ is,” a friend of the Material Girl tells me. “The show did ask her if she wanted to make an appearance in the much-hyped Madonna episode. She said ‘no thanks’ and, to be honest, she would rather they sing an Elton John song than butcher one of hers.”
It’s true that artists have no control over who sings their songs on TV, although Madonna will make over $100,000 in royalties from the ‘Glee’ episode that contains her material.
Not bad for an artist who says yes to ‘Marriage Ref’ but no to ‘Glee.’ At least we got our Madonna eye candy by seeing Jane Lynch in a cone-bra.

Adam Lambert is under strict instructions to keep his hands — and tongue — to himself when he takes center stage on ‘American Idol’ this week.
“‘Idol’ does not want a repeat performance of what Adam did at last year’s American Music Awards, where he simulated sex and kissed a male member of his band,” an insider tells me. “The producers are confident that Adam will stick to their rules, however, they are taking no chances and making sure they have a 3-second delay on the live show, just in case Mr. Lambert goes rogue.”
