Kate Gosselin is getting promoted a lot in the upcoming season. I bet it’s upsetting stars and causing tension on the set.
Page Six – Kate Gosselin is being a “total diva” on the set of “Dancing With the Stars” — snubbing other contestants and behaving frostily to crew members, sources tell Page Six. The recently divorced mom of eight has been rehearsing for the ABC show, which starts its new season March 22. Her icy behavior also persuaded Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir to pull out of talks about being on the show because he didn’t want to work alongside Gosselin. A “DWTS” source said, “Kate doesn’t want anything to do with other contestants . . . While there’s a lot of camaraderie among the crew and other stars including Pamela Anderson, Kate has set herself apart . . . She wants to be queen bee.” Gosselin’s rep didn’t get back to us. A show source said, “She’s been rehearsing in Pennsylvania to be near her kids. For the short time she was in LA, she and the cast got along great.”

Kate Gosselin’s got a new look – Again.
After debuting her new longer length hairstyle, she went back to her celebrity stylist, Ted Gibson from What not to Wear, for another haircut and had about four inches taken off the top.
What do you think?

Kate Gosselin, whose original spikey punk ‘do set off a copycat frenzy last year, premiered a new sleeker hairstyle this Friday — and you can have it, too, for just $7,000.
Ted Gibson, the stylist whom TLC filmed creating “Clean Slate Kate,” told RadarOnline.com that Gosselin’s cut would cost close to $7,000 at his salons in New York and Washington.

“My haircuts are $950,” he told the gossip site. “The color would have been about $500, and the extensions, which were great length extensions, would probably cost about $5000.”
Gibson, who has worked on A-list stars like Angelina Jolie and Anne Hathaway, reprotedly spent approximately 20 hours adding hundreds of extensions to Gosselin’s short hair.
The “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ star premiered her long locks this week, but wasn’t so confident in the stylist’s chair. Gibson says Gosselin was loathe to part with her famous bangs.

Radar Online – Kate Gosselin is not going to be part of a new TV show that she shot a pilot for because executives thought she was too controversial, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
In early September, Kate was one of several hosts for a Momlogic TV pilot. She joined Food Network star Paula Deen, Lee Woodruff and former Early Show co-host Rene Syler The show, by Telepictures, has been described as The View for working moms and while it is technically still alive, industry insiders tell RadarOnline.com that it is on life support. It is still on the schedule to be sold at the convention where TV shows are pitched, but an insider said there is little chance it will make it. With multiple hosts, the show was designed to tackle topics such as teen pregnancy as well as lighter fare. [Wait!Theres Tons More…]

RadarOnline.com has learned that Kate is absolutely thrilled with the settlement and has gotten everything she wanted including the house and most of the cashJon, meantime, is struggling both financially, and emotionally. With his ability to earn any cash stifled by his ongoing legal dispute with cable giant TLC, and his relationship woes with on again off again girlfriend Hailey Glassman, it’s tough times for the dad of 8.

This was Kate’s primary focus from the very start of the case, and we are very pleased with the final outcome.”“I am very relieved that our divorce has been finalized, and I look forward to the New Year, focusing on the children,” Kate said in a statement released by her attorneys. “On behalf of myself and my legal team, I want to express my deep appreciation to the Judge and his staff, as well as to the arbitrator, for resolving this case. This has been a challenging transition for all of us, but I am confident that we will move ahead with the important task of restructuring our lives.”

UPDATE:
Here’s the deal with Kate Gosselin…
She’s basically looking for her next tv vehicle, to occupy her new ‘post hit TLC-reality show’ life. She’s got a number of test pilots out there…including MomLogic, a ‘VIew’ styled daytime gabfest that’s looking for a home on cable. And Just last week, reporters found Kate with camera crews filming her in a restaurant diner, serving pancakes to locals. Kate’s been stretching her talents across all media forms that hasn’t limited herself from making personal appearances on late night sketch comedies. Just ask Jay Leno. In the heat of her divorce, Kate took some time out of her mommy schedule to appear on the Tonight Show in a self-paodied comedy skit called – MILF…Have you seen it? Do you Want to see it? UsMag – Kate Gosselin says her eight children aren’t doing so well now that they’re no longer in front of the cameras.
“They cried in the van on the way home from school the other day. I finally admitted to them, they kept asking, ‘Where’s the camera crew? Where’s the camera crew? We miss them.’ And I said, ‘Our show is over.’ …Eight sobbing kids driving home from school,” Kate, 34, says on Barbara Walters’ The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009, airing Wednesday on ABC.
The show, Jon & Kate Plus 8, recently ended its two-year run.In September, TLC made the shocking announcement that as of Nov. 2, Jon Gosselin would no longer appear on the reality series and that the program would be re-titled Kate Plus 8.
But the plan got axed after Jon objected to his kids appearing on TV, claiming that he had an “epiphany” that the show was exploiting his children.
Kate disagrees, telling Walters that Jon ended the show “because he could.”
Says Kate, “Unless you live in my house and, and see how everything that we have done with the show has been such a great experience, you can’t speak.”
To this day, her kids — 9-year-old twins Mady and Cara and 5-year-old sextuplets Hannah, Leah, Alexis, Joel, Aaden and Collin — “watch DVDs of our show and it’s family memories to them,” she says.
When Walters asked if she was scared, Gosselin nodded.”Yes, I don’t think I would be sane if I wasn’t,” she says. “I have a lot of responsibility.”
She is slated to do a new talk show next spring.
Still, she says she doesn’t consider herself a star.

Im trying to figure out what the plot of her new show is: Kate Gosselin was being filmed serving pancakes at a diner for three hours. Could the concept be something like ‘Bringing celebrities to ordinary jobs’…
Extra -Kate Gosselin is hoping to make the return to reality TV… without estranged husband Jon.
Kate, 34, was spotted serving food at Finch’s Restaurant in Raleigh, N.C. Tuesday morning as cameras rolled. Her bodyguard Steve Neild (with whom she has denied having an affair) told a reporter from local TV station WRAL that the reality star was shooting a “test” segment for a future program. A rep for TLC — which aired “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ — tells “Extra,” a “show is in development and the shooting was part of that process.” In October, Jon halted production on “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ by refusing to allow cameras to tape his children. He and the network are currently suing each other for breach of contract.

It happened tonight, a sad farewelll to the couple who graced many a magazine covers…who’s 15 minutes drew star power not seen since the Brangelina days….
TMZ – Jon Gosselin’s finally going away … from TLC — and in one of the last clips from the series finale of “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” Jon goes out sounding like more of a tool than ever.

ET – Is Jon and Kate Gosselin’s “War of the Roses” over? Only ET interviewed both sides after they met face to face in Pennsylvania on Saturday — and apparently reached an agreement, in principal, on the terms of their divorce arbitration. Plus, we break news about Jon’s love pledge to Kate!
ET special correspondent Diane Dimond reports that after the feuding ex-couple met with an arbitrator for about five hours, both sides emerged to say they’d reached an agreement.
Dimond says the arbitrator will commit Jon and Kate’s agreement points, along with his own recommendations, to a document. Lawyers expect to receive the document in approximately 30 days, and both sides have agreed to abide by whatever the arbitrator rules.
Dimond says that after the meeting ended, Kate declined to comment, but Jon said he’d written his estranged wife a note indicating that he loves their children, that a part of him will always love her, and he will never let any harm come to her.
Earlier, Jon arrived to the meeting with an apparent peace offering for Kate: a bouquet of roses. However, Dimond says that Kate left the meeting without the flowers.
A source called the roses another Jon Gosselin publicity stunt.

In hindsight – It seems like Jon Gosselin had good foresight – saw that the show would come to an end (the finale is tonight), and tried to bolster his celeb during his final 15 minuts as much as he could – so that he may have some kind of career after the show ended….
