Kanye West is to marry his model girlfriend Amber Rose.
The ‘Gold Digger’ rapper – whose mother Donda West passed away in November 2007 from complications that arose during a cosmetic surgery procedure – is reportedly planning to whisk the former stripper away to the Caribbean early next year to propose.
A friend said: “He has really bonded with her since losing his mother and needs another strong woman in his life.”
The pair are heading to an eight-bedroom, £2,000-a-night villa in the Dominican Republic for the romantic occasion.
The source added to Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “He’s very serious, otherwise he wouldn’t be spending that much money on her.”

There are rumors that Kanye West is really about to make good on his promise to take some time off and it could come sooner than later. That’s because there’s a mystery regarding his upcoming “Fame Kills” tour with Lady GaGa. Full dates came out this week on the Pollstar website but there wasn’t any confirmation from Kanye or GaGa’s camps that the dates were the real deal. Then yesterday morning, tour dates were posted on the Ticketmaster website and were then removed. Internet presales for some of the dates were supposed to go on sale yesterday morning but now it seems that won’t happen.
Kanye West apologized two times on his Web site and once on Jay Leno before actually calling Taylor Swift to personally apologize for interrupting her speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. Taylor said: “Kanye did call me and he was very sincere in his apology and I accepted that apology. The support that I got from other artists and the fans and so many people sticking by me, that’s what got me to the place where I could accept that apology. And I’m just very thankful that everyone showed me so much love.”
Kanye West wants everyone to know he did not claim he was replacing Michael Jackson as the new “King of Pop’”. Rap superstar Kanye West shocked his fellow celebrities backstage at a pre-MTV Europe Music Awards party in Liverpool, England on Wednesday – when he reportedly relieved himself on the floor of his dressing room.
The Stronger hit-maker was in the city to perform and collect the Ultimate Urban prize at the MTV ceremony on Thursday. However, his alleged behavior at the star-studded bash the night before stunned pop duo The Ting Tings, who had to share his dressing room at the party, reports Britain’s The Sun newspaper.
Drummer Jules De Martino says, “We ask for a lot of unusual things on our backstage rider but that ain’t (sic) one of them!”
We guess we should believe them when they tell us they’re just friends. Because Star magazine is reporting that Rihanna has been getting cozy with Kanye West!
A source tells Star Riri and Kanye were cuddling while backstage at a T.I. concert in Hollywood at the Key Club on October 3rd.
“Rihanna and Kanye hung out together after they performed their songs. Rihanna was sitting on Kanye’s lap, singing along to the music. Before long, the two were full-on kissing each other.

The rap chart war between 50 Cent and Kanye West is on again – the pair’s new albums will be released a week apart in December.
West won the last battle when his album Graduation outsold his chart rival’s Curtis last year, after both records were released on the same day.
And now the rappers are set for a pre-Christmas showdown, with Interscope record bosses confirming 50’s new album, Before I Self Destruct, will hit stores on 9 December – a week before the release of West’s 808’s + Heartbreak.
West’s fighting talk has already started – in a blog posting on Friday, the Jesus Walks hitmaker writes, “I guarantee this (808’s + Heartbreak) will be 50’s favorite album of mine. This will be gangster’s album of the year.”
