A judge in October forbid him from appearing on rival network programs for pay and making unauthorized public disclosures about the show, as part of his contract. In a statement to Us Magazine, “TLC has reached a settlement with Jon Gosselin. The network adds that the terms were confidential.”

ET – Is Jon and Kate Gosselin’s “War of the Roses” over? Only ET interviewed both sides after they met face to face in Pennsylvania on Saturday — and apparently reached an agreement, in principal, on the terms of their divorce arbitration. Plus, we break news about Jon’s love pledge to Kate!
ET special correspondent Diane Dimond reports that after the feuding ex-couple met with an arbitrator for about five hours, both sides emerged to say they’d reached an agreement.
Dimond says the arbitrator will commit Jon and Kate’s agreement points, along with his own recommendations, to a document. Lawyers expect to receive the document in approximately 30 days, and both sides have agreed to abide by whatever the arbitrator rules.
Dimond says that after the meeting ended, Kate declined to comment, but Jon said he’d written his estranged wife a note indicating that he loves their children, that a part of him will always love her, and he will never let any harm come to her.
Earlier, Jon arrived to the meeting with an apparent peace offering for Kate: a bouquet of roses. However, Dimond says that Kate left the meeting without the flowers.
A source called the roses another Jon Gosselin publicity stunt.

Jon Gosselin has said he plans to countersue TLC for $5 million, according to RadarOnline.com.
The Berks County dad is taking the offensive by filing his own lawsuit against TLC which produces “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” since TLC is suing him for breach of contract. Jon will have to testify at a preliminary injunction hearing in Maryland court on December 14.
TLC is represented by Washington, D.C. law firm Williams & Connolly, regarded as one of the best law firms in the country and which has a reputation leaving opponents with no secrets left by the time the discovery process is over, RadarOnline.com reported.
TLC’s lawsuit alleges that Jon has been paid to appear on other TV shows that compete with “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” which is prohibited by his exclusive contract with TLC. Jon also has prevented the network from filming his children, saying he thinks the show has become harmful to them.
Jon has argued that TLC is preventing him from earning a living with a contract that is too restrictive. But in its court filing, TLC says it offered to keep paying Jon even after it changed the show from “Jon & Kate Plus 8” to “Kate Plus 8.” It also says he is free to go back to his former job in Information Technology.
Jon also may be facing a big bill for all this litigation. The website estimated the bill could reach the high six figures and beyond if it drags on.

Phillies star Shane Victorino has invited Jon Gosselin to his wedding next weekend in Hawaii.
Victorino and Gosselin did a joint interview a few months ago, and the Phillies were featured on an episode of “Jon & Kate Plus 8” last spring.
Very little is known about the actual wedding, aside from the fact that Melissa Smith is marrying Victorino on Nov. 14 on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Gosselin also has relatives in Hawaii and he and Kate Gosselin renewed their marriage vows there last October.
Gosselin has starred for four years in “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” which has been consumed by marital turmoil as Gosselin and his wife feuded, then filed for divorce.

TLC plans to collect statements from Jon Gosselin’s friend Michael Lohan (as well as Jon Gosselin’s girlfriend Hailey Glassman) in the network’s breach-of-contract lawsuit filed against Gosselin. A Maryland court has granted motions filed by the network’s lawyers to depose Glassman, Lindsay Lohan’s dad Michael, who once publicly discussed doing a divorced dads TV show with Gosselin. Statements are also being sought from Gosselin’s lawyer Mark Heller, manager Michael Heller, bodyguard Thomas Meinelt and talent rep Matthew Kirschner. Last month, TLC sued Gosseli for breach of contract, accusing the “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ star of making television appearances without TLC’s permission, in violation of their exclusive contract.

The reality TV star is the defendant in a breach of contract lawsuit from the cable network and now will file his own lawsuit. Jon is facing a preliminary injunction hearing in Maryland court on December 14 and, as RadarOnline.com reported exclusively, he will be forced to testify.
But now Jon and his team of Hellers (Mike and Mark) have decided the best defense is an offense. In the past they have contended that Jon was not adequately represented when he signed his TLC contract. TLC is represented by Washington, D.C. law firm Williams & Connolly.
In its lawsuit against Jon, TLC claims he has breached his contract repeatedly and points out that he and Kate had legal representation when dealing with the network. The lawsuit contends that their contract was renegotiated several times.
