For the Fourth of July, mother-of-eight Kate Gosselin entertained bodyguard Steve Neild and his family at her $1.1 million home in Wernersville, Pa.
At the pool party/picnic, she mostly hid from photographers. However, the reality star, 35 – who last week denied having any plastic surgery except for a tummy tuck – was snapped briefly prancing around in a skimpy bikini.
“Steve brought his two sons and one of their girlfriends, and they all pitched in, playing with the kids and helping with the cookout,” a witness tells UsMagazine.com. “They grilled on the back patio behind the house and made a bonfire in the back horse paddock where they roasted marshmallows and hot dogs. The kids were running around laughing and having fun, playing hide-and-seek.”
Meanwhile, her ex Jon celebrated the holiday with his new squeeze Ellen Ross.
They enjoyed breakfast at the Wyomissing Family Restaurant in Wyomissing, Pa., before joining some family members at a Fourth of July parade.

On Saturday, Jon Gosselin hit a playground in Wyomissing, Penn. with his 9-year-old twin daughters Mady and Cara and 6-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel. Joining the kids as they played on the swings and monkey bars: Ellen Ross, 23, his girlfriend of one month.

“She is the first love interest to be introduced to his children,” a source close to Jon, 33, tells Us of Ross, who lives in nearby Harrisburg, Penn. Gosselin recently moved into a one-bedroom apartment in Reading, Penn., to be closer to the Wernersville, Penn. house the kids share with his ex-wife Kate.
Although the kids were “confused” meeting Ross a few days earlier, a source says the famous kids “really taken to Ellen and she’s enjoying spending time with them.” Back in March, the reality dad (whose prior ex-girlfriends include Hailey Glassman and Deanna Hummel) was dumped by Morgan Christie, his 25-year-old girlfriend, after less than two months. He was subsequently linked to a wealthy “fortysomething” woman from Washington, D.C.
Jon Gosselin claimed to be supportive of his ex-wife Kate’s stint on “Dancing With the Stars,” but filing a petition for full custody of the kids seem to suggest otherwise.
Jon has lawyered up with attorney Anthony F. List, who has filed a petition with the courts asking that Jon be granted full custody of their eight children.
According to List, Kate is an absentee mom, and he is expected to use “DWTS” as evidence that she does not spend quality time with her kids. Furthermore, List has asked the Berks County Court to review his child support payments.
According to the Associated Press, Jon says in court papers that Kate “abuses” her authority when it comes to his visitation rights, and that an arbitrator didn’t require her to provide proof of the children’s expenses. – SCOOP

An attorney for Jon, 33, plans to file an emergency petition this week in Berks County, Penn., for primary physical custody of his eight children with ex-wife Kate, TMZ reported Tuesday.The reality dad’s new lawyer Anthony F. List tells TMZ that Kate, 35, is “an absentee mom.” List says her current stint on Dancing with the Stars prohibits her from spending “quality time” with twins Cara and Mady, 9, and sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel and Leah, 5. (Kate and DWTS partner Tony Dovolani have been rehearsing in the basement of the $1.1 million Wernersville, Penn. home she shares with her kids.)Also on the docket: the child support situation. Currently, Jon pays Kate $22,000 a month in child support. The attorney charges that the fee is “ridiculous,” and he may ask a judge to reverse the arrangement and demand that Kate pay Jon, though he declined to specify how much.
A source close to Jon tells UsMagazine.com that he “seems genuinely upset that the kids are growing up with strangers most of the time. Even when Kate’s at the house, she has a nanny there to do all the work.”
Jon Gosselin and TLC are on speaking terms once again, following a high profile contract battle with the network sparked from his abrupt cancellation of his reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8. He’s also reportedly trying to get TLC to start filming them again.
A judge in October forbid him from appearing on rival network programs for pay and making unauthorized public disclosures about the show, as part of his contract. In a statement to Us Magazine, “TLC has reached a settlement with Jon Gosselin. The network adds that the terms were confidential.”

In a case of good lovin’ gone bad, Hailey Glassman is hitting her former paramour Jon Gosselin with charges that he harassed her.The 22 year old Glassman has filed a harassment complaint with the New York City Police Department.
According to a source, Gosselin pushed Glassman against the wall of their New York City apartment after he discovered ‘a picture of her kissing another man.’
Digital Spy – Jon Gosselin was asked to star in Super Bowl commercials by two different companies, according to his lawyer.
Speaking to E! Online, attorney Mark Heller alleged that the Jon & Kate Plus 8 star was approached by the unknown brands to front their adverts, but the collaboration never happened.
“Two different entities sought to solicit his services [for Super Bowl ad spots], but in my view, they were scared of TLC,” he is quoted as saying.
Heller reportedly refused to elaborate on his statement, while a representative for TLC declined to comment on the allegations.
The network recently accused Gosselin, 32, of violating his contract with TLC by undertaking a number of paid and unpaid television appearances without prior permission.

In another scene during tonight’s episode, Kate is taking a photo of her kids and speculating that it was “probably the last thing” they’ll do for the show — which turns out to be true.
