news.au.com – HUGH Jackman was only eight when his mother left. The day after, Grace Jackman sent a telegram saying she wasn’t returning to the family home, leaving husband Christopher to raise her baby and his four older siblings.
Years later Jackman would acknowledge that undiagnosed post-natal depression had created the crisis that took his mother away.
Grace and her estranged husband would later agree that she would raise daughters Zoe and Sonia in her native England. The three boys, Hugh, Ian and Ralph, would remain in Australia with their father.
“My mother was not well,” Jackman has said. “I always hoped she would come back, but I never blamed her for anything that went wrong. At the time, I was miserable and angry, and my brothers and I used to fight all the time.”
Jackman forgave his mother and yesterday the two were photographed on the streets of New York with Jackman’s daughter Ava.
“Grace has been helping Hugh with the kids while Deborra-Lee (Furness) is in Australia for Adoption Awareness week,” a friend said yesterday.
Furness will be conducting a free seminar on adoption at UNSW tomorrow night. All are welcome.

TMZ – According to a search warrant affidavit released last week, Nick Prugo and his cronies allegedly used TMZ.com to search for information about their victims.
On a computer seized from Prugo by the LAPD — which we obtained — we found a bunch of photos that were jacked from our site, including pics of Christina Milian, Adam Lambert, Hugh Jackman … and Chris Sarandon as the evil “Prince Humperdinck.”
The first three we get … but Humperdinck? Must’ve been a fluke.

Still, it’s a relatively rare feat for a non-musical to crack the top 10, much less the top three. “Rain” muscled “Jersey Boys” ($1,126,009) out of the No. 3 slot, landing behind “Wicked” ($1,441,683) and “Billy Elliot” ($1,342,233). Average ticket price paid for the play was $136 — which means a lot of people [Wait!Theres Tons More…]

The A-list hunks, best-known for their respective big-screen roles as Wolverine of the X-Men and British secret agent James Bond, squared off in the drama “A Steady Rain.” The gritty two-man play about Chicago police officers torn apart by a botched investigation began previews at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre ahead of its opening on Sept. 29.Judging by the hysterical cheers at curtain up and curtain down, the 90-minute performance left the audience both shaken and stirred. Especially the ladies who would love to be handcuffed by this particular brand of cop.

Hugh Jackman makes an entrance! A parachutes from a helicopter to the surprise of waiting fans and media at a photo call fro his upcoming film X-Men origins, Wolvering. He unveiled the first official footage, and unfinished version was laeked online last week of the action flick. I tried to watch it, but unfortunately, it had been taken down, by the time I got to it…bummer.
