Family was over – and my sis was asking a lot of questions about Cindy Crawford and Richard Gere. Thought Id put together a snapshot of what they’ve been up to since their Famous Wedding and Divorce.
Richard and Cindy Crawford got married December 12, 1991 (they were divorced in 1995). Afterwards, Richard started dating actress Carey Lowell. They had a son, Homer James Jigme Gere, on February 6, 2000. Richard was picked by People magazine as one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the world in 1991, and as their Sexiest Man Alive in 1999.
As for Cindy Crawford?
She has been married to Rande Gerber since May 29, 1998, with whom she has two children, Presley Walker (born July 2, 1999) and Kaia Jordan (born September 3, 2001). She currently resides in Malibu, California.

Popcrunch – Former supermodel Cindy Crawford and her entrepreneur husband Rande Gerber have been targeted in an extortion scheme. A German man was arrested Thursday after trying to extort $100,000 from the couple over a photo of their then 7-year-old daughter bound to a chair and gagged, The Associated Press has learned.
Popsugar – Documents filed Thursday by the FBI and U.S. attorney’s office in U.S. District Court say an acquaintance of the couple’s former nanny has threatened to sell a photo of the child. The photo was purportedly taken by the couple’s former nanny and shows the girl bound to a chair in revealing clothing..
“A criminal complaint was filed today in federal court in Los Angeles by the U.S. Attorney’s office and the FBI stating that Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford have been the victims of an on-going extortion scheme,” Crawford’s spokeswoman Annett Wolfsaid in a statement Thursday. “This crime has been committed by Edis Kayalar, an acquaintance of a former nanny employed by the family. Mr. Kayalar threatened to sell an image taken of the couple’s then-seven-year-old daughter. There was no previous awareness by Mr. Gerber and Ms. Crawford of the existence of the photograph when they were contacted by Mr. Kayalar. The photo was taken by the former nanny as part of a purported game without the knowledge of the parents. The couple reported the extortion threat to the police and the FBI began a criminal investigation in the matter. Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford intend to pursue any and all available legal action against anyone who aids the perpetrator in the distribution or sale of the photograph of their daughter.”
Crawford — who was a regular presence on the runway in the 1990s — married Gerber in 1998. They have two children.
Richard Gere has stayed mostly out of the limelight – at least they’ve tried to…

Venus Williams’ sexy black and red corset-style outfit was the talk of the French Open. Not to mention her nude-color shorts which made it appear as if she was naked under the skimpy outfit!
Venus, 29, told the Los Angeles Times that her outfit was “about illusion…a lot of my motif this year.”
Williams brings around ten tennis outfits to each tournament just in case she wins.

Hollywood usually touts the Oscars red carpet at the most fashionable celebrity highlight of the year, but for the international jet set and for those who really appreciate experimental fashion, the Cannes Film Festival is the event to watch. Celebrities and even royals from all over the world host parties, lounge on yachts, pose for promotional photos, serve as festival jurors and walk the red carpet, and it seems like each activity deserves a different outfit.
Stars who get to stay on the French Riviera tend to experiment with dramatic looks, then suddenly switch to more demure dresses and shorter cocktail dresses. At this year’s 63rd Cannes Film Festival, Cate Blanchett, Naomi Watts, Salma Hayek, Eva Longoria, Kate Beckinsale, Naomi Watts, Michelle Williams and Carey Mulligan have stood out as some of the most fabulous fashion chameleons of the year. 
Blanchett, who is at Cannes to promote her film Robin Hood, wore a lunar-inspired, eagle-adorned gown that Alexander McQueen made for her just before he died in February. As Naomi Watts promotes her movie You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger she has appeared in short sparkly minis, an understated but sexy black gown by RM by Rouland Mouret (one of the star’s favorite red carpet designers), a boho Stella McCartney day dress, and a bombshell look complete with blonde updo, a sequined black Gucci minidress, and ravishing red lipstick that only feeds rumors that Watts is set to play Marilyn Monroe in a biopic. The always glamorous Salma Hayek continues to favor old-school Hollywood looks, choosing one-shoulder Grecian gowns that perfectly accentuate her petite but curvaceous figure — always accessorized with glorious jewelry — but once opting for a bold bronze sheath with a deep V-neckline for a Vanity Fair party in honor of the restoration of Il Gattopardo. Like Watts, Kate Beckinsale and Eva Longoria switch between glitzy minis and dramatic floor-length gowns. From Gianfranco Ferre to Elie Saab to Balmain to Pucci to Temperley London, the two friends are big fans of dresses that show off their fun-loving, party-ready personalities.
Besides the experimental set, this year’s Cannes Film Festival has been the perfect platform for debuting new looks. Hipster-chic Michelle Williams — who is also rumored to play Marilyn Monroe in a separate project — showed off a pixie haircut with side-swept bangs in a lighter, blonder hue that complemented the sunny coast. As she attends parties, red carpet events, screenings and photo calls for her movie Blue Valentine, she has chosen a drapey but elegant Chanel Haute Couture gown and a fitted but ladylike sleeved minidress by Suno. 
And Jennifer Hudson is celebrating her recent slim-down by showing off her enviable figure in fitted dresses that she accessorizes with belts, platform pumps and youthfully tousled hairstyles.
As much as Cannes is a must-visit stop off for established celebrities like Vanessa Paradis, Naomi Campbell and Salma Hayek, young faces are making stunning appearances, too. LA starlet Rachel Bilson may be known more for her fashion cred than her acting gigs, and she attended the Art of Elysium Paradis dinner party in a tuxedo-inspired jumpsuit that highlighted her fresh homage to classic black tie (Marion Cotillard also chose a sparkly Lefranc Ferrant jumpsuit at the Chopard 15th anniversary party). Wall Street Never Sleeps star Carey Mulligan survived a marathon of red carpets, parties and luncheons as she promoted her film An Education during awards season earlier this year, topped off in Prada, Lanvin and other sophisticated designers. At Cannes, she dresses to complement her retro haircut in masculine separates as well as a 1930s-inspired navy gown with jeweled collar.
It’s the perfect festival to start off the summer, but one of the last times we’ll see celebrities get so glamorous until the holiday season later this year.

Oprah – Naomi doesn’t deny other violent outbursts. She’s pled guilty to assaulting an assistant and a housekeeper.
When the housekeeper couldn’t find something Naomi was looking for in her New York apartment, Naomi says she saw red. “I don’t remember what it was she said to me, and I just threw the phone,” she says. “I am ashamed of everything I’ve ever done. I take responsibility for the things that I have done, and I do feel a great sense of shame.”
Oprah: Whether it’s a cab driver or somebody on a plane or your own housekeeper and you don’t get immediately what you want, you said you see red.
Naomi: Yes.
Oprah: And then what?
Naomi: Then I don’t see.
Oprah: You just act.
Naomi: I act out.
After having an outburst, Naomi says she immediately regrets her actions. “I feel remorseful. I feel ashamed. I feel for them,” she says. “[I think,] ‘What have I done to them?’ If I’ve hurt them.”
Naomi says her issues go beyond anger management, and she’s not some petulant diva. “I think it comes from a deeper place than that with me. It comes from another type of emotional disorder, because it’s not just, ‘I don’t get what I want. I throw,’” she says. “It comes from, I think, an abandonment issue, and it comes from also just trying to build up a family around me that’s not my immediate family. And if I feel a mistrust, then I really just…all my cards go down.”
