Jennifer Garner has revealed why her second child with husband Ben Affleck was called Seraphina – their older daughter Violet chose it.Jennifer gave birth to the little girl in January and she explained recently that their three year old daughter Violet was obsessed with the name, which means ‘little angel’: “Violet, ever since she figured out that I was pregnant, she said, ‘Oh that’s Sera.’ And we didn’t know if it was a boy or a girl, so we’re like, ‘Oh, we’ll see.’“We didn’t know where she came up with it but she said Sera consistently the whole time. And we kept saying she’s not going to name the kid, she’s a baby. We’ll decide and we’ll figure it out.
“A week into it [after giving birth] we hadn’t decided. So we just went with what Violet wanted… and the thing we liked about it was it meant angel in every language. She gets her way sometimes.”

Faded Youth Blog – The expectant actress proved she’s a hands-on mom (literally!) when she dropped off daughter Violet at school in Santa Monica, CA today. She could be seen visibly struggling to keep her sweater down over her growing baby bump. After tending to her mommy duties, Jen and a friend stopped in at the Lakeshore Learning Materials store and appeared to get some Christmas shopping done.
Did Jen grab a few things in anticipation of her second child? The little tyke may very well arrive on Christmas day!

People – Growing up in the West Virginia mountain town of Charleston, Jennifer Garner didn’t dream of being a screen star – she wanted to be a librarian. “This is about as far from Hollywood as any place on Earth. I wanted to be a children’s book author and a librarian,” Garner, 36, tells PEOPLE while back in Charleston, where her weekend was to include reading Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson at a gathering to help eventually expand the public library. “My mom took my sisters and me to the library once a week when we were kids,” she recalls, “and it’s such a huge community center, especially in a town that has very few resources – to have a place with 100 computers and Internet access to everyone for free, that’s really important in a town like this.” [Wait!Theres Tons More…]

From People – Jennifer Garner finally confirmed Wednesday what her baby bump has made clear for weeks – that she and husband Ben Affleck are expecting their second child. “We’re so excited, obviously,” Garner told Access Hollywood at Walt Disney’s 10th Anniversary party for the Baby Einstein line of merchandise. Garner joked about the endless speculation – even crediting her obvious pregnancy to “carbs for breakfast.”
”It always makes me laugh when people say ‘Is she?’ ‘Isn’t she?’ It’s like eventually you will know, so just chill out for a minute,” she told Access Hollywood.
And thanks to her toddler Violet at home, Garner isn’t sweating having another baby in the house. “Yeah, been through it,” Garner said. “It’s all good, it’s great. I’m really excited.”

With Garner five-months pregnant with the couple’s second child, the couple has bought a $16 million home in Brentwood, California, according to Us Weekly.
According to the mag, the house is a 9,900-square-foot traditional-style home on nearly an acre of property. And with a reported seven bedrooms, seven baths, six fireplaces, a brick wine cellar, a library and a three-car garage, the stars won’t have any trouble making room for their new baby on the way.
The estate reportedly also includes a pool, pool house and outdoor fireplace in addition to a large lawn, seating area and a deck with a built-in barbeque.
