American Idol winner Carrie Underwood is getting a new Sesame Street character — Carrie Underworm.
She’s set to debut this Thursday on Sesame St. with her own song – “This Worm”.

Carrie Underwood is getting married! “I’m happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn’t be happier,” her rep tells PEOPLE. “No wedding date has been set at this time.”
The Ottawa Senators player spoke about the happy event on Monday, according to the Toronto Sun.
“It’s true,” he is quoted as saying. “We’re both obviously excited and very happy.”
Fisher, 29, reportedly proposed at his home Sunday afternoon and then sent messages to his friends with the good news later that day.

Underwood, 26, and Fisher have kept their year-long relationship mostly under the radar, but Underwood declared her love for Fisher in the liner notes of her new album, Play On.
“I love you so much!” she wrote. “You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day.”

American Idol champ Carrie Underwood has been selected as one of three musicians to be inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame this year in September. She joins keyboardist Rocky Frisco and vocalist Ramona Reed.

Jessica Simpson has shot down Carrie Underwood’s recent remarks that her ex – and Simpson’s current flame – NFL star Tony Romo still calls her. And her method for ferreting out the truth might raise a few eyebrows. “Tony and I both laughed at that,” Simpson told Nashville radio station 107.5 The River. “We got a chuckle out of it.” Underwood, who dated the Dallas Cowboys quarterback in 2007, told Allure magazine in an interview for its September issue that sometimes “the phone will ring and it’ll be [Romo], and I’ll maybe not answer.” Underwood’s comments are “definitely” not true, Simpson said. So … how does she know this? “I looked at his call log.”
