Amy Poehler took her son, Archie, for a walk in the West Village on Tuesday. Amy is so active for only having the little guy a month ago.

Amy’s husband, Will Arnett, told reporters the other day that Archie is trying to smile…

“He’s loving being a baby right now. He’s thinking about smiling. He’s trying to decide if he’s ready or not.”

I love it when they first smile, you want to think it’s just for you. So cute! – Insider

People – Comedians Amy Poehler and Will Arnett have welcomed their first child, a boy. Archie Arnett was born on Saturday and weighed in at 8 lbs., 1 oz., their rep Lewis Kay said in a statement.
“Amy, Will and Archie are all healthy and resting comfortably,” Kay said. During the “Weekend Update” segment of Saturday Night Live, Poehler’s co-anchor Seth Meyers announced to a cheering crowd: “Amy Poehler is not here tonight because she is having a baby.” Poehler, 37, revealed in April that she and Arnett, 38, were expecting. “I’ve been very lucky,” Poehler told PEOPLE in July. “I’m feeling good, and I’m just overwhelmed with blessings.” Meyers recently told PEOPLE that the cast was thrilled about the baby. “We’re all excited for her,” said Myers. “I think she’s going to be a great mom.”Besides welcoming the new member of the family, Arnett will star with Kristen Bell in the big-screen comedy When in Rome, and Poehler – who is leaving SNL this year – will return to NBC in the spring as the star of an as-yet-untitled primetime comedy.

UsMagazine – According to the Los Angeles Times, she tells the new issue of Men’s Vogue that she is taking a break after the November election as she prepares to welcome her first child. And she won’t be returning after maternity leave. “It’s gonna be really hard — Boyz II Men hard — to say goodbye to yesterday,” she says. “SNL was dangerous, late-night, last-minute and star-studded, but like any good drug, you need to know when to put it down.” Poehler won’t be off the small screen altogether. She has signed on for NBC’s upcoming Office spin-off, set to air next year. “I can kind of confirm that I will be working in some capacity on that show,” she said in July. “I don’t really have any other details yet.” She generated laughs this past weekend, portraying Hillary Clinton in a sketch with Tina Fey, who played Sarah Palin.
