Alicia Keyes, eating all day and relaxing by the pool at her Perth, Australia hotel. The current James Bond theme song artist is eyeing retirement. She has decided she wants to retire by the age of 30 – so she can spend the rest of her life travelling the world. The 27-year-old star often finds herself exasperated by the pressures of fame and in 2006 she took a break from music and travelled to Egypt to recuperate. And the Fallin’ hitmaker insists that she hopes to be able to bow out of the entertainment industry in the next few years, so she can start enjoying her time.

Movie fans have branded the theme song for Quantum Of Solace the worst Bond theme ever.The opening track for the hotly anticipated follow-up to Casino Royale, starring Daniel Craig, was unveiled on several British radio stations earlier this week. But it has been mauled my fans and music critics alike. Written by White Stripes frontman Jack White and singer Alicia Keys, the song, Another Way To Die, was blasted by one fan as sounding like a “shopping list” of violence. Another said White and Keys’ different singing styles “don’t gel” on the track, while music critic Todd Martens added: “The first mistake was mimicking an iconic score with some electric guitars and modern effects, which is always, always, always a bad idea.” Even Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher waded into the row earlier this week – telling fans it was a “p**s-take” that a movie featuring the archetypal English spy was to be soundtracked by “a bunch of f**king Americans”. – WENN

Rush and Malloy – Alicia Keys could be named as “the other woman” in the divorce of hip-hop producer Swizz Beatz and R&B singer Mashonda, sources tell us. Swizz has been brushing off rumors that Grammy-winner Alicia had anything to do with his split from Mashonda, his wife of almost five years and mother of his 1-year-old son, Kasseem Dean Jr. But Mashonda isn’t buying it. Last week, she was incensed when she heard about the birthday party Alicia threw for Swizz at midtown’s Louis Vuitton store, where guests included Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony and Robin Thicke. “Alicia introduced Swizz as ‘The man of the hour and my boo,’” says an insider. “Mashonda has had enough. She put her career on hold to be a wife and mother. She’s tired of pretending she’s deaf, dumb and blind to what’s going on. Alicia Keyes and WHITE STRIPES’ JACK WHITE will make movie history by recording the first BOND theme duet for new movie QUANTUM OF SOLACE.
The odd couple will team up to perform Another Way To Die for the 22nd James Bond movie, which will hit cinemas in November (08).
White wrote and produced the song, and will also play drums on the track, according to reports.

R+B sensation ALICIA KEYS is the latest star rumoured to be recording the new James Bond theme.
The singer is reportedly the top contender to sing the title track for the superspy’s latest outing, Quantum Of Solace, with a source telling E! Online: “I believe Alicia is the winner.”
