Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie spent the day with their children in Venice, Italy. The brood stopped for some ice cream and rode a gondola through the city. The clan kept bundled up warm and Shiloh wore a cute monkey hat.

Angelina and Brad invited a celebrity friend to their Los Angeles home on Valentines Day — Sean Penn. Sean is costarring with Brad in Tree of Life, a science fiction movie slated for theaters this fall. Also, both Sean and Angelina made recent visits to the earthquake ravaged ruins in Haiti.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are suing a tabloid for publishing rumors alleging they’ve split.
A lawyer for the couple says the News of The World had made “false and intrusive allegations” when it reported Jan. 24 that Pitt and Jolie had agreed to separate, to divide assets worth 205 million pounds ($320 million) and had made arrangements regarding the custody of their six children.”

Brad Pitt is one cool dude. He has massive cinema appeal on the big screen. His films shovel in dough like mad.
It started happening to him right from the start. Ok, not right from the start. He did the struggling actor two step by dancing dressed up like a chicken in commercials for a small fast food chain. But in time he made it. Really made it.
He was sucking blood out of victims in Interview with a Vampire, and he also managed to suck up $224 million at the box office. Of course, he’s had a few stinkers. But the misses have been far and few. There have been far more Troys ($497 million) than The Assasination of Jesse James..’s. ($15 million)
People want to see him. And audiences pulled $451 million out of their wallets to see him in Ocean’s 11. Two Brad Pitt movies, Troy and Oceans 11, yanked in in nearly one billion dollars. Top that off with grosses from Interview with a Vampire, and you’ve got three movies toppling the 1 billion dollars mark. That’s the humoungo box office draw of A-lister Brad Pitt.
Critical praise isn’t something Pitt is unfamiliar with, either. He’s been nominated twice for Oscar gold. Once in the best supporting role for Twelve Monkeys. The other for The Curious Case of Benjamin, for best actor. His current starring vehicle, the Quentin Tarantino Nazi war drama Inglorious bastards won both critic praise and boffo box office. (a Screen Actors Guild Award for the cast and a cool $112 million in grosses) .
He decided to take on the project after a drunken night on the town with pal Quentin Tarantino . Later Brad Pitt recalled his decision to sign for the flick, “Well, I knew the Tarantino mythology, of course. Tarantino is now a noun. It may even be a verb. And I knew [Inglorious Batards] was out there in the ether. But when i saw the script, I just knew I’d do it. You develop radar after so many years.”

The Jersey Shore is coming back – The cast members accepted MTV’s offer for $10,000 per episode, which is still far lower than the cast members of The Hills. MTV will take the cast to another location, perhaps Miami. “Our audience has fallen in love with ‘Jersey Shore’ and its amazing cast who have really grown together as a family. That bond gives the show its heart, and we’re thrilled to reunite these friends to bring fans more of what they love — laughs, love, drama and of course, GTL,” said Tony DiSanto, president of programming for MTV.

Brad Pitt has signed on to join the cast of Sherlock Holmes 2. Speculation has soared across the internet over who Pitt will actually play in the upcoming sequel to the current blockbuster. It could be a character whose face is in shadow and cannot be recognized, sources say. The Sherlock Holmes sequel went into production even before Sherlock Holmes debuted in theaters.
