Music Top of the Charts – Hope for Haiti CD Debuts in First Place…

Debuting at number one this week was ‘A Hope for Haiti” now, the soundtrack to the George Clooney telethon which pulled in $57 million dollars in donations. The collaboration features  performances from Alicia Keys, Coldplay, Shakira, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Madonna, JRihanna, Dave Matthews, Justin Timberlake and more.

Susan Boyle came in at number 2 in her 29th week of release. Lady Gaga’s “The Fame” album sales jumped for the third consecutive week up to No. 3. Transference by Spoon debuted in the fourth spot. In the week up to the Grammys, the 2010 Grammy Nominations album came in fifth place. Last weeks top place finisher, Vampire Weekend’s “Contra” dipped to No. 6, down from No. 1 last week. And rounding out the top 10 in album sales this week were Alicia Keyes “The Element of Freedom”, Kesha’s “Animal”, The Black Eyed Peas “The E.N.D”, and Taylor Swift’s “Fearless”…
