LINDSAY LOHAN HEADS HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS
PEOPLE – Lindsay Lohan is coming home for the holidays – and her family is putting her to work!
Although Lindsay usually gets VIP treatment, while in Long Island, N.Y., with her family – including mom Dina, sister Ali, and two brothers – the Mean Girls actress will be busy in the kitchen.
“Lindsay is making the garlic mashed potatoes. They are amazing!” Dina Lohan told PEOPLE while taking a break from serving a Thanksgiving lunch to autistic and special needs community members at the Harbor Links Country Club in Long Island, N.Y. on Tuesday.
As for how her daughter her is doing, Dina says, “Lindsay is doing great right now. She’s happy and very busy working. She works a lot and so we’re excited to have her home for Thanksgiving.”
And Lindsay isn’t the only member of the family who will help with the day’s feast. “Ali is doing the stuffing and I’m doing the turkey and making sure nothing burns,” says Dina.
Once the meal is prepared, the family will celebrate a sweet tradition. “We go around the table and say what we are thankful for,” says Dina. “I grew up with it and it’s just a Thanksgiving tradition we have going on at our house that we grabbed onto … We are so blessed and it’s important to share what we are thankful for, and not to take things for granted.”
