I heard from a Reuters reported that was backstage that Lauren Bacall was a total mess after she lost the Oscar a few years back from her role in “The Mirror has Two Faces… Apparently, it was an awful mess and really hard to see. She had been projected to win that race…but in a surprise upset, lost to Juliette Binoche in “The English Patient”
