Janet Jackson Postpones Two Upcoming Concert Dates Due to Illness

Us Magazine – Janet Jackson, who was scheduled to hit the stage in Boston, Massachusetts on Wednesday, has postponed the concert due to illness, her rep said in a statement on Tuesday. Jackson’s stop in Philadelphia (October 2) will also be rescheduled while she recuperates.

The Rock Witchu Tour will resume in Greensboro, North Carolina on October 4. The singer, 42, was due to perform in Montreal on Monday but canceled the gig after she “got suddenly ill” during her sound check and had to be rushed to the hospital just before show time. The singer was released from Montreal’s Royal Victoria Hospital after a two-hour stay on Monday night, a hospital spokesperson told Canada’s CBC News. Jackson was also hospitalized in L.A. in March after a bout with the flu.

Also,The nature of her illness wasn’t reported, though insiders say she suffers from vertigo. Justin Timberlake announced the line up of stars who will join him on stage for the Justin Timberlake and Friends event benefiting the Shriners Hospitals for Children.  The Jonas Brothers, Rihanna, Will.i.am, Adam Levine (of Maroon 5), 50 Cent, Boyz II Men, Esmee Denters, and Leona Lewis will all be performing at the charity show on the Planet Hollywood Resort stage in Las Vegas The benefit takes place on Oct. 17. Tickets for the momentous occasion range in price from $75 to $250 at can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.
