You Should do it Britney – Make sure you have three-Five guaranteed solid #1 Hits on it, like your first album…

The Toxic hitmaker is currently working on a follow-up to 2007 LP Blackout and the singer recently admitted the new release will not be hitting shops until next year. But now new reports claim that executives at Spears’ music label, Jive Records, are planning to rush the album out early to take advantage of her current popularity. Spears has won favour with the public after appearing to sort her life out following her public breakdown earlier this year (Jan08). A source tells The Sun, “Britney’s last album, Blackout, was released in the middle of her meltdown and carried negative associations. It did OK but wasn’t as big as her previous releases. “Label chiefs vowed her private life would never be allowed to overshadow her career again. However, they’ve been astonished by how well she’s managed to piece her life back together.” – WENN

From The Daily Mail -

What a difference a year makes. Twelve months ago, Britney Spears was a lost cause  -  a tragic figure of fun who lost custody of her two young sons in a blaze of flashbulbs and disastrous publicity.

Her shambolic appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards last September  -  described as a ‘car crash’ by critics  -  was widely regarded as the death knell of a once unstoppable career.  As the great and the good of the music industry watched agog, a paunchy, glassy-eyed Britney stumbled blindly through a rendition of her latest record, having lost the ability even to mime convincingly.  Coming after months of erratic, often drug-fuelled madness  -  including a lengthy stint in a rehab clinic  -  it marked the moment when the public perception-of Britney Spears shifted from hilarity to tragedy.  Not any more. This week the MTV awards returned, and stealing the show was a bronzed vision of health and vitality who was utterly unrecognisable from the shambling figure of 2007.
